How to answer an incoming chat
When someone visits your website or Personal Profile Page and initiates a chat, you’ll be alerted in multiple ways if you’re logged into the Dashboard.
Depending on your Sounds & Notification settings, you’ll be notified of an incoming chat by an audio alert as well as a browser notification. On the left side of the Dashboard, you’ll see any new chats listed under Incoming with a pink background.
The color of the box will give you some information as well.
Pink is a new incoming chat that has yet to be answered.
Green is a chat you’ve already answered.
Gray is a chat that has been answered by another agent.
You can also choose to answer the chat using an Alias by selecting the name before joining. This will open up a drop-down menu with a list of Aliases you have available to you.
You can set-up your aliases in the Aliases tab in your My Profile page. Just make your way over to your Profile Icon in the top right-hand corner of the Dashboard and click the Edit Profile option.
